Song for Japan album doesn't need a say, its a compilation of the best tracks from the most legendary to the new international artist, dedicated to Japan. The album consist of two discs which features 37 chart- topping tracks from the era of Lennon's – Imagine, to Lagy Gaga's – Born this way, to Kings of Leon – Use Somebody.

The net proceeds from sale of this benefit album will be in the name of Japanese Red Cross society. The album is created by the four major record labels Sony Music, EMI, Warner Music and Universal.

The album flags of with the hit single �Imagine' from the legendary and renowned singer �John Lennon'. The song sung and penned by John Lennon was a plea for world peace and hence has a prominent stature on the album.

Songs for Japan features many tracks from various artists that are filled with courage, optimism, and hope. The album also includes songs by artists who are known for releasing mature music namely Eminem's - Love the way you lie, Black Eye Peas – One Tribe, Nicki Minaj – Save me, but their tunes for this album are fairly clean with fewer references to sex, drugs, and violence than the original.

Songs of the album is perfectly compiled as it offers music from all the international genres pop, rock, R&B, country and many more. The album provides listeners with his/her favorite music, like hit pop tracks of Shakira, Pink, Kate Perry, Justin Bieber to the rock jamming tracks of Red Hot chili Pepper. The album also has a country touch with songs from renowned country artist Lady Antebellum – I run to you and Keith Urban – Better Life.

Overall the album is appropriate for all ages and is meant for noble cause. The album is beautifully compiled and there is at least a couple of track that one will love to hear. And no matter what the songs are and who the artist are, they share the common theme of lighting a ray of hope in a man's distressed life.
