RAM Wk 13-16: Radio Mirchi inches up in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore

MUMBAI: The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) has released the data for the week 13 to 16 (25-03-2012 to 21-04-2012). Radio Mirchi gained considerable strides in the three metros but slipped slightly in Kolkata. It was a bad week for Radio City which lost in the metros, but consolidated its lead in Bangalore. However, Fever and Big FM managed to better their position despite a few hiccups.

Mumbai: Mirchi raced ahead of the erstwhile Mumbai leader Radio City with a market share of 15.3 %, climbing 0.3 points during the week. Radio City was pushed to the second spot by a slim 0.1% with a share of 15.2%. AIR FM2-Gold stayed at the third position but slipped 0.2 points to close the week with a share of 13.9%.

Delhi: Fever FM claimed top position even after registering a loss of 0.5 points with a share of 18.4%, followed by AIR FM2-Gold which also lost 0.6 points and closed the week with a share of 18.1%. Radio Mirchi despite gaining 0.4 points was at number three with a share of 16.1%.

Bangalore: Radio City established its strong grip on the top spot with a market share of 25.7%, despite a drop of 0.1 point, contrary to Mirchi which gained 0.2 points but came in at number two to close the week with a share of 22%. Big FM, having gained 0.5 points retained its third spot in the city with a share of 18.5%.

Kolkata: Radio Mirchi leads with a market share of 22.8%, far ahead of number two Big FM which lost 0.1 points and closed the week at 16.9%. Friends FM stayed at the same keel in the city with a share of 14.9% on the third spot.
