In collaboration with Kilachand Devchand Foundation.
Basant Panchami, the 5th day of the month of Magh, heralds the onset of 'Rituraj Basant'. This season of four months brings forth a burst of new leaves and flowers, and the call of the kokila-a season of new life, birdsong and the riot of colours of Holi. Kumar Gandharva in 1971 composed a 'festival' of songs, both classical and folk, describing life in all its aspects in these four months.
To usher in the joyous season of Spring, Vasundharatai and Kalapini Komkali present an adapted version of Kumarji's 'Geet Vasant'.
