RAM Wk 18-21: City leads in Mumbai & B'lore

MUMBAI: There were negligible shifts in the market share as per Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the Week 18 to 21 (6-05-2012 to 2-06-2012). Radio City consolidated its lead in Mumbai and Bangalore, Fever FM ruled the capital and Radio Mirchi emerged as a clear market leader in Kolkata.

MUMBAI: City managed to stay ahead of Mirchi in Mumbai with 15.7 per cent market share, while Mirchi slipped 0.2 points to end with a share of 15.3 per cent. Having gained 0.5 points, AIR FM2-Gold came in at the third spot with a share of 14.5 per cent.

Delhi: Fever FM lost 0.2 points but consolidated its leadership position in the capital with a market share of 18.3 per cent, still ahead of AIR FM2-Gold which stayed at the same keel in the capital with a share of 17.9 per cent at the second spot. Mirchi lost 0.1 point closing the week with a share of 15.9 per cent.

Bangalore: Radio City gained 0.4 points and strengthened its position in the city with a share of 26.4 per cent, but Mirchi slipped by 1 point at the second spot ending the week with a share of 21.2 per cent. Big FM that came in third climbed 0.2 points to end with a share of 18.6 per cent.

Kolkata: Mirchi continues to reign the city with a market share of 23.1 per cent despite a gain of 0.3 points. Big FM remained unchanged with a market share of 16.8%, while Friends FM lost 0.3 points closing the week with a share of 14.7%.
