MUMBAI: Zee TV is set to launch the new season of Hero Honda Saregamapa Mega Challenge, come 30 October.

The announcement comes close on heels of the show approaching its 1000 episode.

The seven-week show will feature eight teams representing eight states. Each team will have one captain and two participants. Every week, two teams will compete against each other.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises COO and Zee TV business head Nitin Vaidya said, "Completion of 1000 episodes with a brand in a cut-throat competitive scene as today's, is a great achievement in itself.
