Zee TV to launch Saregamapa Li'l Champs on 3 June

MUMBAI: Zee TV is gearing up to launch the kids' version of their singing reality show Saregamapa Li'l Champs on 3 June.

For the first time, the channel has outsourced the production of the show and Reliance ADAG-owned Big Productions is producing the show for the channel.

The channel has planned the show in summer to coincide with the summer vacations.

The kids reality show, however, is slotted at late weekend primetime of 10 pm (Friday-Saturday). Zee said the channel does not have any empty slot between 9-10 pm on Fridays. The channel has selected 18 contestants between the age group of 7 to 14 years after a nationwide search.

With a tagline Music Ka Gurucool..., the channel claims that this season of Li'l Champs will be high on the cool quotient. Zee TV has roped in Adnan Sami, Kailash Kher and Javed Ali as judges while Alka Yagnik will be the Mahaguru on the show.

Zee TV non-fiction head Ashish Golwalkar says, Singing is huge in every nook and corner in India. This has been proved with the talent we discover in every edition and the ever rising popularity of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for almost over a decade now. As always, we have tried and brought in innovations in the format to make the show a complete entertainment package while presenting some amazing singing talent. There's already a huge buzz around the show and we are very hoping that our viewers will love the kids we have selected this season....

Jay Soni, along with kid anchors Afsha Musani and Dhairya Sonecha, will host the show. Hero Honda is continuing as the title sponsor of the show.
