MUMBAI: The music of Murder 3, the third installment in the hit Murder franchise is riding high on expectations.

Composed by Pritam, the music album consists of five songs penned by Sayeed Quadri. Quadri, has been associated with the franchise since the beginning in 2004. He had penned the lyrics with Kumaar and Mithoon for Murder 2 (2011) and with Rahat Indori for the original Murder.

According to reports, the popular song ‘Bheege hont’ of Murder will be included in the film and Randeep Hooda will render the song. Reports said, "It was decided that the third part will reprise the popular track from the first film. The makers wanted a connection with the original film and so decided to keep the song once again." Kunal Ganjawala had sung the original track.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com Mukesh Bhatt, co-owner of the production company, Vishesh Films said, " Randeep will not be doing any playback singing." He added, “We have much higher expectations from the music of Murder 3. It has five tracks and all of them are fresh and has extra to offer for the audience. It will have more of rock music.”

Sony Music India has acquired the audio rights of the film while a track called ‘Teri Jhuki Nazar’ sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali was released recently. The music album is most likely to be released next week.

Sony Music Entertainment India and Middle East president Shridhar Subramaniam said, “ We are hoping that it will be one of the biggest albums. Bhatt camp is known for their music that goes beyond.” The music is available on iTunes, while Sony Music will be promoting it on different platforms –TV, Radio and online.

Directorial debut of Vishesh Bhatt (producer Mukesh Bhatt's son) and produced by Mahesh Bhatt, the film is slated to release on 15 February 2013. The film features Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Pakistani actress and model Sara Loren, who marks her Bollywood debut with this film.
