MUMBAI: The wait for Indian Idol 6 winner is finally over. After two months of hard work and stringent gala rounds Punjabi boy Vipul Mehta has emerged as a clear winner this season. The grand finale is currently being shot at Reliance Media Works Studio - Filmcity in Mumbai and will go on-air tonight at 8.30 pm on Sony TV.

As per sources, Madhur Bhandarkar and Kareena Kapoor have graced the finale to promote their upcoming film, Heroine. Indian Idol 6 judges Anu Malik, Salim Merchant and singers Asha Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan have accompanied them on the jury panel.

The final top three contestants this season were Devendra Pal Singh, Vipul Mehta and Amit Kumar.

The show will witness Mehta’s dream come true to record an album and render tracks in an upcoming bollywood film. He will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 50 lacs, Nissan Micra car and Suzuki Hayate bike.
