Vh1 India to premiere Billboard Music Awards

MUMBAI: After premiering the coveted Golden Globe and Grammy Awards, Vh1 India is all set to air Billboard Music Awards 2012. The awards will telecast on 21 May at 6:30am with a repeat at 8pm.

The event will witness performances by Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez and Usher amongst others. The awards night will be hosted by Emmy award-winning TV couple Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.

Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd English Entertainment SVP and GM Ferzad Palia said, “Vh1 is home to some of the world’s biggest awards and we are thrilled to bring our audience the Billboard Music Awards 2012.”

Celebrating the talent in contemporary music, the awards honour artistes in genres including R&B, Rap, Pop, Country, Rock, Latin, Alternative and more.

The Billboard Music Awards 2012 will be held on 21 May at Las Vegas MGM Grand.
