MUMBAI: Viacom18 Media has appointed Namrata Tata as the national head of sales for its international music and entertainment channel, Vh1 India.

Tata will be responsible for driving Vh1 sales revenues across all markets. She will report into Vh1 India head Ferzad Palia.

Prior to this appointment, Tata was VP at Aidem Ventures, handling network sales for NDTV 24X7 and NDTV India.

With over 12 years of experience, Tata has also worked at NDTV Media Ltd, Sahara One, Nickelodeon, NDTV India and Star India.

Palia said, Vh1 has grown phenomenally into one of India's leading international entertainment channel. Over the last 18 months, our revenue growth out-performed the industry average in multiples, as did our viewership share and affinity. We're confident that Namrata will take this momentum forward as we look to scale even greater heights with some massive properties on the anvil. We welcome her aboard and wish her luck".
