Vh1 gets Chamillionaire for new season of Hip Hop Hustle

MUMBAI: Vh1 will launch the third edition of Hip Hop Hustle with the hip hop artist Chamillionaire.

The Grammy award winner will perform at Vh1 Hip Hop Hustle in Hyderabad on 17 October at Bottles & Chimney, 19 October at Enigma in Bombay and on 20 October at Elevate in Delhi.

Vh1 Hip Hop Hustle is Vh1`s attempt to bring hip hop talent to India. Chamillionaire will roll in the third year of the series which has earlier brought in Flipsyde and Mobb Deep in the last two years.

Chamillionaire has also worked with Scott Storch (50 Cent), Mannie Fresh (Lil` Wayne, Baby, Juvenile) and Cool & Dre (The Game) and Atlanta studio kings The Beat Bullies (1Big Boi/OutKast).

Vh1 India associate director marketing Ferzad Palia said, "Chamillionaire`s global recognition starting with the Grammy for the Best Rap Performance by duo or group to the Best Rap Video at the MTV Video Music Awards certainly confirms his popularity. His sound on Hip Hop Hustle on Vh1 is receiving an overwhelming response, which is why we decided to bring the master Hustler to India."

Vh1 is currently involved in bringing down commercial hip hop acts such as Akon and the soon to be staged Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce.

Vh1 Hip Hop Hustle is presented by JBL and Nokia, in association with Bingo and TVS Apache. Mercury Travels is the travel partner. The channel has roped in Fever 104 as radio partner and Barista as ground partner.
