MUMBAI: On the occasion of Diwali, Vh1 will air the live premiere of the most awaited ‘MTV Europe Music Awards 2012’ (EMA) to be held on 12 November at 12.30am with prime time repeat at 9pm.

The coveted awards held at Frankfurt’s Festhalle will feature performances by pop icons like Pitbull, Alicia Keys and the Killers amongst others. South Korean pop sensation Psy will perform his trending global smash hit ‘Gangnam Style’ while Alicia Keys will perform to a track from her upcoming album ‘Girl on Fire’. The Killers will return to the EMA stage in support of their recent ‘Battle Born’ album, whereas Pitbull will debut a song from his new album ‘Global Warming’.

While the 2011 EMA was dominated by paparazzi queen Lady Gaga, this year R&B sensation Rihanna is leading the pack with six nominations followed by Taylor Swift with five and Katy Perry and teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber with four nods each.
