U.Rajesh`s `Into The light` launched by Music Today

Mumbai :Music Today unveiled the World Music extravaganza by mandolin virtuoso, U. Rajesh `Into The light` - a mystifying musical journey towards enlightenment.

The album has been adapted from Carnatic classic melodies, fusing them into an Indo-Western platform. Some of the tracks are well-known and beloved melodies such as `Annapoorne` by Muthuswamy Dikshitar while others have been composed by U. Rajesh along with Anil Srinivasan as the pianist."It is a pleasure for us to be associated with one of the India`s leading mandolin artistes, U. Rajesh, a star who always believes in creating music with a deeper philosophical meaning. `Into the Light` is a unique work of art that displays the artiste`s amazing fusion of Indo-Western sound." commented Music Today Business Director Gurmeet Singh.

The album consists of eight tracks: The first two tracks `Shadows` and `Sunrise` are fast-paced compositions that emulate the sound of a breaking dawn and the other tracks are Annapoorne , Reflections, Rainwalk , Saraswati, Sacred Fires and Devi.
