MUMBAI: Sahas Malhotra, formely director – digital and new business development at Sony Music Entertainment India, has been appointed by Tips Industries as senior vice president and business head of its music division.

Malhotra will drive the music business of Tips across both the physical and non-physical revenue streams globally and will be based in Mumbai. He will report to Tips Industries chairman and managing director Kumar Taurani.

At Sony, Malhotra headed the company's strategic business units of digital, media planning, buying, licensing, syndication and publishing.
