Times Music launches Akbar Sami's Jalwa 2008

MUMBAI: After the success of Jalwa I and II, DJ Akbar Sami is all set with his new version of the theme. Jalwa 2008 will be launched under Times Music label in two months.

The album will have eight tracks, one original composed by Jatin Sharma and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It will have the trademark 'Dekho dekho yeh hai jalwa' track and six other Bollywood remixes.

Times Music COO Adarsh Gupta says, "We produced Akbar's Jalwa eight years ago and we reunite for his third one."
The jockey overviews the scenario of DJ'ing and says that there were many versions of Jalwa in the past few years, but they went unnoticed. The reason, he points out, because of the overdose of remixes in the market. Hence, officially, this is my third Jalwa."

Sami hogged the limelight when he dished out his first remix album `Jalwa.' Post Jalwa came `Jaddo' followed by `Jalwa II'. Sami then tried his hand at remixing Bollywood tracks. These included albums like Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and Himesh Reshimyya's Just Chill and Laga Prem Rog followed by Aashiq Banaye and Jhalak Dhika La Ja.

Recently, Sami composed a full-fledged album for a Bollywood film titled Fast Forward directed by Zaighan Ali.
