Times Music launches Aditya Thackeray's 'Umeed'

MUMBAI: Times Music launched 'Umeed', lyricist Aditya Uddhav Thackeray's debut album, on 18 January in Mumbai.

The album was unveiled by Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and Amitabh Bachchan in a well attended affair. 17 year old Aditya, grandson of Bal Thacheray, is a student of the Dhirubhal Ambani International School. He impressed the audience with his thoughtful lyrics.

Kunal Ganjawala, Shankar Mahadevan, Jolly Mukharjee, Kailash Kher, Suresh Wadkar, Sunidhi Chauhan and Mahalaxmi Iyer have lent their voices for Aditya's lyrics, in the album comprising eight songs. Music for the album has been composed by Mayuresh Pai.

Times Music's head of A & R Gauri Yadwadkar said, "The album has been launched all over the country. We have got many orders already and dealers are asking for more catalogues anticipating the success of the album."
