Times Music to launch Rekha Bhardwaj ghazal album

MUMBAI: Times music will release National Award-winning singer Rekha Bhardwaj's ghazal album �Irshaad' on Sunday 31 July at Islamic center in New Delhi.

�Irshaad' consists of eight ghazals penned by Ameeta Parsuram, and composed by Sudeep Banerji, who has also rendered vocals along with Rekha Bhardwaj.

The album will be unveiled with a concert where Bhardwaj will croon ghazals after a gap of 11 years. Sudeep banerji, Akram khan (tabla) Murad Ali (sarangi) and Sanjoy das (guitar) will accompany the singer at the concert.

Rekha Bhardwaj said, I am going to sing ghazals after 11 years, I don't know how the response will be but I am really excited. I will be performing along with Sudeep Banerji who has not only composed all the ghazals, but has also lent vocals to some of the ghazals....

�Irshaad' will be Sudeep Banerji's second album in collaboration with Bhardwaj.

Speaking on the album, Banerji said, The album comprises of beautiful poetries penned by Ameeta, which depicts romance and relationship in real life. I'm looking forward for the concert and release....
