Times Music COO Adarsh Gupta quits

MUMBAI: Adarsh Gupta, COO of Times Music , a division of the Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL) has quit the organisation.

Confirming his departure to Radioandmusic.com, Gupta said, "Yes, I have put in my papers at Times Music. I have been with the organisation for over four years, it was time to move on."

Gupta however denied to comment on who would succeed him to helm Times Music.

On being quizzed upon his next venture Gupta answered, "I am still undecided and exploring my opportunities."

Gupta joined Times Music as COO in 2006. It was under his stewardship, Times Music had launched its Bollywood arm Junglee Music in 2007, to capitalise on the raging popularity of commercial film music.

This is Gupta's second stint with the label. Earlier, he held the position of Deputy General Manager (July 2000 to November 2002) where he was responsible for the entire Sales, Marketing and Business Developement function for India and World markets.

Prior to Times, Gupta has enriched international experience in categories like FMCG products, Consumer Electronics & Entertainment (Music) gained in Russia, India, England, Poland & Fiji Islands.
