Time for Hiphop Tamizha and Hard Kaur Vanakkam Chennai track

MUMBAI: After all the noise Ethir Neechal made, it’s time to move on and welcome a new track- ‘Chennai City Gangsta’ featuring artist Hiphop Tamizha Adhi and British-Indian rapper Hard Kaur who share the mike duties for upcoming Tamil comedy film ‘Vanakkam Chennai’.

The film is helmed by debutant Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi and the soundtrack and background score has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Hiphop Tamizhan Adhi said, “Hard Kaur is cool and friendly. We discussed a lot about how independent artists can make their own mark and how to break into international markets. She was giving me a lot of insights about the hip-hop industry worldwide. I just enjoyed working on the track with her.”

Club le Mabbu le famed singer had earlier recorded with hip-hop sensation Yo Yo Honey Singh for the track Ethir Neechal.

When asked about the track in Vanakkam Chennai, the Iriava singer said, “Since this track is like a follow up to the Ethir Neechal track, expectations are already high. So I am going to let everyone wait till Anirudh releases the teaser for this song in a couple of days.”

“For this track, there were no rehearsals. I and Anirudh had already sorted out the concept back in Chennai and nearly finished the track. When he played it to Hard Kaur, and explained her concept it was a piece of cake for her,” Adhi added.

The teaser of Oh Penne featuring Vishal Dadlani was recently out. There are about seven tracks currently composed by Ravichander which is rendered by Arjun (UK based singer), Vishal Dadlani, Hiphop Tamizha, Pragathi Guruprasad and Hard Kaur.

Vanakkam Chennai is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banner Red Giant Movies and features Shiva and Priya Anand in the lead roles.
