Timbaland partners Verizon for mobile album

MUMBAI: Rapper Timbaland has created history of sorts by signing on with Verizon for a mobile album.

This album would be directly and exclusively accessible to all the Verizon wireless V CAST (a network created by Verizon wireless to deliver audio, video, and entertainment content) users. The album would be created in the fully equipped Verizon mobile recording studio bus. This bus would stop at various cities across the US which would give the music lover a glimpse of the artist and the recording sessions inside the bus.

"We are using the power of our network just to bring the music fan closer to the favourite music and artist" says Ed Ruth, Verizon's director of digital music. Timbaland's music would be available to the Verizon customers as full songs, downloads and ringback tones from wherever they are accessing the network.
