MUMBAI: T-series has added another feather in its crowded cap by promoting its catalogue through new media platforms. The music label has received the first ever YouTube partner award for most subscribed channel in India.

T-Series which has acquired half a million subscriber base joined the global video search platform of YouTube a year back. Apart from its mainstream Bollywood channel, the label  also has various sub-channels on YouTube like Apna Punjab, Hamaar Bhojpuri, Pop Chartbusters, Bhakti Sagar, Shabad Gurbani, Old is Gold and a regional channel, catering to niche audiences owing to its catalogue spread across various genres.

Speaking on the achievement T-Series CMD Bhushan Kumar said, "YouTube is a very unique platform as it offers instant connect with the consumers beyond boundaries. We are really bullish on YouTube  and are working closely to take this partnership with Google to the next level.”

T-Series president Neeraj Kalyan said, “This recognition has been a result of sheer passion and commitment from both YouTube and T-Series teams and am personally very proud to be a part of this fantastic team.
