MUMBAI: T-Series has been acquiring music rights of many big and small budget films lately. The same aggression of T-Series has reached its production house too. After Aashiqui 2, Bhushan Kumar announced the huge slate of T-Series home production films. Now, Bhushan Kumar has roped in OMG! director Umesh Shukla for an exclusive 5 film deal.

First film is a family drama starring Rishi Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan as father-son. The shooting of the film will commence by October this year. Bhushan Kumar is in talks with several big names and is soon to zero in on an actress to star alongside Abhishek. Confirming the news, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar says, “Yes we have extended and now signed an exclusive 5-film deal with director Umesh Shukla.The first being an Abhishek Bachchan starrer. He is an extremely versatile in his style of filmmaking and as a producer I have full faith in his ability to helm the film.”

Director Umesh Shukla says, “I am really happy with the deal Bhushanji and I have finalised. I went with him with different story ideas and we decided on five story ideas out of which Abhishek starrer is the first to go on floors. After all the discussions, I have signed the dotted line and I am really happy to be now a part of T-Series family. I am exclusively signed with them for five films which I will be only concentrating on directing first.” Shukla will exclusively work with Bhushan Kumar in completing 5 films under the T-Series banner, post which he will work with other producers.
