T-Series bags audio rights of Karthik Calling Karthik

MUMBAI: After an impressive number of films under its kitty last year, music label T-Series  continues to widen its portfolio this year as well. The label has acquired the music rights of the Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone starrer 'Kathik Calling Karthik.'

The music of the film is composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy who had scored the music for Akhtar's last project 'Rock On' as well as 'Luck By Chance'. The lyrics of the film have been penned by Javed Akhtar. The audio of the film will be released on 18 January, informs T-Series president - marketing media publishing (TV) Vinod Bhanushali.

"It's a complete album including a dance number, a romantic track as well as a sad rendition apart from others. There would be special promotions revolving around mobiles considering the name of the film. We are looking forward to heavy promotions via mobile and radio paltform apart from the other usual mediums. Farhan Akhtar would be going all out to promote the music of the film," says Bhanushali.

The music label had earlier grabbed the audio rights of Vishal Bharadwaj's Ishqiya whose music was launched earlier this month. Hrithik Roshan starer much delayed film Kites will see the light of the day in March, informs Bhanushali.
