T-Series acquires music rights of Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg 2' & 'Kick'

MUMBAI: T-Series is leaving no stone unturned to reign the bollywood music market. The music label giant has added another feather in its crowded cap by acquiring the audio rights of Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg 2' and Sajid �Nadiadwala's 'Kick'.

The soundtrack of â€?Dabangg 2' is composed by music director duo Sajid-Wajid while the lyrics are penned by Jalees Sherwani. Sajid said, After the tremendous success of  'Dabangg', Wajid and I are composing music for the sequel also. The music album of the film will have three different styles of item songs accumulated in a single number. The audience can expect the music of 'Dabangg 2' to be much bigger and better than its prequel....

T-Series president-marketing and promotions Vinod Bhanushali has confirmed both the acquisitions with Radioandmusic.com.

After the magnum opus music promotion of the mega-budget film 'RA.One', the music giant is all geared promoting Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar composed by AR Rahman. We are promoting Rockstar extensively on radio and music channels. We are very sure that Saadda Haq will soon become a youth anthem,... said Bhanushali.

The music label had all the big releases of the year under its wings, upcoming movies like Desi Boyz, Dirty Pictures and Don-2 are all under its kitty.  The music of Desi Boyz  composed by Pritam will be released on 16 October, the soundtrack of â€?The Dirty Picture' composed by music director duo Vishal-Shekhar and penned by Rajat Aroraa will be unveiled in the first week of November and the original scores of the much awaited Farhan Akhtar's  Don 2: The Chase Continues composed by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy  is slated to hit the shelves around 6 November, informs Bhanushali.

Today, T-Series is valued at Rs 5000 crore and commands close to 85% of market share, it exports music to over 24 countries across 5 continents, and hopes to  become a US$ 2bn entertainment super power soon.
