Speaking about the show with Radioandmusic.com, Manasi Parekh Gohil said, “Funtakshari will bring together family members and combine the love that India has for music and bollywood. As music has always been a passion I am happy to get the opportunity to anchor a musical show. I have just completed acting in a musical play and this show is the perfect opportunity for me to return to music.”

Keeping the show’s format different from the previous versions of Antakshari aired over the years, Funtakshari aims to provide an array of music, bollywood trivia, humour and family entertainment. “Originally this was a game and when it was introduced there weren’t many options available for people.
