Star Plus' Chhote Ustaad to commence from 24 July

MUMBAI: Star Plus, the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from the Star stable, is ready to bring back the second season of Amul Chhote Ustaad.

Devised by Saibaba Telefilms, the show will launch on 24 July to occupy the 9 pm slot on Saturday-Sunday. It will replace recently concluded dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha.

Amul Chhote Ustaad - Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz brings together 10 Indian and 10 Pakistani kids between the age group of 8-13 years as teammates to be crowned as the "Chhote Ustaads" of the sub continent.

While the participants will be mentored by Sonu Niigaam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the show will be hosted by Omi Vaidya (Chatur Ramalingam from 3 Idiots).

Star India EVP - marketing and communication Anupam Vasudev says, "We at Star Plus believe in giving our audience superlative and differential content and 'Amul Chhote Ustaad - Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz' is one big leap in that direction and living up to our brand promise 'Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi."

Talking about the show's marketing strategy Vasudev says, "With this show, we will market the budding talent of both India and Pakistan who will form a pair while participating in the show. I feel by promoting their talent we will indirectly promote Chhote Ustaad and hope it becomes a bigger hit than the last edition."

Chhote Ustad's first season was aired on the channel in 2007. It was judged by Pritam, Shreya Ghoshal and Kunal Ganjawala.
