Sony's Indian Idol takes home three honours at Promax

MUMBAI: The fourth edition of Sony's reality show Indian Idol lapped up three awards at the Promax/BDA Awards held in Mumbai last week - for Best Original Music Composition, Best Sound Design (Silver) and Best Editing promo.

Viacom 18 swept up a large chunk of the awards, with its Jingle Bells winning gold in the category of best Sound Design. It also won Best Original Music Composition (Silver) for Change (Republic Day Song). VH1 India won the award for VH1 Left of Center in the Best Entertainment Promo category, while rock documentary History Rock Generic, created by NGC Network India, won the Best Documentary Show. MTV's Splitsvilla bagged silver in the Best Promotional Campaign category, while MTV's Roadies Bike Spot took home the silver for Best Entertainment Promo.

The Promax Awards recognise excellence in on-air promotion, branding and advertising. Awards were given to Satellite, Cable, Broadcast Television and Radio sectors and associated new media, their agencies and production houses.
