Sony Music acquires digital rights of Yash Raj Films 'Ishaqzaade'

MUMBAI: Sony Music Entertainment has acquired the worldwide digital distribution rights of the upcoming Yash Raj Films, ‘Ishaqzaade’.

The music album composed by Amit Trivedi and penned by lyricist Kausar Munir comprises of five original songs and two remixes. The soundtrack features voices of Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghosal, Javed Ali, Vishal Dadlani, Shalmali Kholgade, Suraj Jagan , Divya Kumar and newcomer Shalmali Kholgade.

With this alliance Sony Music will leverage its entire digital delivery bandwidth for offering audio and audio visual music content of this film on mobile devices and internet based platforms. The track ‘Aafaton Ke Parinde’ will be digitally released on 4 April 2012, followed by release of the full album on 12 April.

Sony Music India marketing director Sanujeet Bhujabal said, “Music director Amit Trivedi’s taste of music, immense talent and composing skills adds an earthy essence to the music of the movie. The music of Ishaqzaade is sure to strike a chord across all age groups. With the unique mix and match of compositions combined with the talent of fabulous singers we expect a great response from music lovers.”

The movie stars film maker Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Ishaqzaade is romantic drama film written and directed by Habib Faisal, and produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie is set to release on 18 May 2012 globally.
