Sony launches Singstar Room at Mumbai restaurant

MUMBAI: Sony Computer Entertainment has launched its first Singstar Room at Trafalgar Chowk, the recently launched Bandra restaurant in Mumbai.

The one of its kind SingStar Room will enable creating an instant party of singing contest on PlayStation, the Sony product. SingStar on Playstation 2 gives an opportunity of finding the best singer in the group with fully licensed tracks and videos from the world's leading stars.

The event also marks the introduction of the complete international range of Singstar games: SingStar 80's, SingStar 90's, SingStar Party, SingStar Legends, SingStar Rock, SingStar Pop and SingStar along with the localised version - SingStar Bollywood.Says Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Country Manager - India Atindriya Bose says, "SingStar features actual songs and videos recorded by popular artists; it adds an element of realism never before seen in a singing game.
These are instant party-starters and enjoyed in groups immensely. We found the opportunity of creating the Singstar Room at Trafalgar Chowk tempting to give the youth an all new singing experience, way above the normal karaoke bars."

The SingStar Room has been created at the Trafalgar Chowk because of its friendly ambience, long established link with music and its natural appeal amongst the young and modern audience, says a release.
