Sony BMG launches Kailash kher's album, ' Jhoomo Re'

MUMBAI:After the success of his first album, Kailasa last year, Sony BMG has released Sufi singer Kailash Kher's second album 'Kailasa 'Jhoomo Re' on 9 May 2007.

Performing for a celebrated audience at the event such has Javed Akhtar, Salim Suleiman, Mahesh Mahtai, Abhijeet Sawant, Prajakta Shukhre, Rahul Vaidya, and Sona, Kher entertained music enthusiasts with songs from the new album by band Kailasa, which comprises Kailash Kher, Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath.

With the new album, Kher has extended himself from his Sufi image to provide folk music with urban and contemporary sound. Kailasa Jhoomo Re contains nine songs that convey different emotions, sounds and melodies.
"Kailasa Jhoomo Re contains emotions and sounds that every Indian will relate to and enjoy. We have mixed contemporary folk music from our country with the energetic tunes of today. It is definitely an album that music enthusiasts across different age groups will enjoy," said Kher.

Sony BMG India Managing Director Shridhar Subramaniam added "It is a pleasure and a privilege to be launching the music of Kailash Kher, who has always provided tunes that are contemporary, different and fresh.
