MUMBAI: A R Rahman has done it again. After pocketing the Golden Globe and the LA Critics Award for Danny Boyle's feature film, the music of Slumdog Millionaire has been nominated for the UK Bafta awards, to be given away in February.

The BAFTA nominations for 'Slumdog' come days after the film stormed away with four prizes at prestigious Golden Globe awards on January 11 where Rahman bagged the Best Original Music Score award for 'Jai Ho', a first for any Indian.

Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button each received 11 nominations for the Orange British Academy Film Awards.

Slumdog Millionaire was nominated in the Bafta categories Best Film, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Music, Production Design, Sound and Outstanding British Film.

Danny Boyle has been nominated for Director, 18-year-old Dev Patel for Leading Actor and Freida Pinto received a nomination as Supporting Actress.

Slumdog Millionaire is currently at the top of the UK box office charts, having taken £2,920,000 in its first six days of release.
