Shubha Mudgal is back with music fest 'Baajaa Gaajaa'

MUMBAI: Renowned classical vocalist Shubha Mudgal is back with the fourth edition of her annual music festival �Baajaa Gaajaa'. The three-day fest showcasing the richness of Indian music with 40 performances, concerts and acts will commence from 10 February in Pune.

Promoted by Mudgal's independent record label Underscore Records Pvt Ltd, the festival is spearheaded by the singer and tabla maestro Aneesh Pradhan. �Baajaa Gaajaa 2012' will be inaugurated by legendary Javed Akhtar (Recipient of the Padma Bhushan and Member of Parliament).

Shubha Mudgal said, I would begin by inviting music lovers to spend three days at Baajaa Gaajaa enjoying Indian music, performed by both seasoned and acclaimed artistes as well as by new and upcoming artistes. The festival performances are open to the public and are not ticketed....

The fest will witness performances by independent artistes and performers presenting classical, folk, tribal to western/contemporary forms of music from across the globe. The fest will also host �Music Conclave 2012' where music industry experts will debate and discuss on various challenges and opportunities faced by the Indian Music Industry. The panelists for the conclave include Sujoy Ghosh, Imtiaz Ali, Amol Palekar, Shantanu Moitra amongst others.

Like the last three years, Baajaa Gaajaa has been supported and sponsored by various international organizations and institutes.
