To be a part of project, young Indian beatboxers can register on British Council official site till 10 December and upload their 5 min audition video on YouTube. Voctronica is conceptualized by British Council and is organized in association with Zomba. The project will be spearheaded by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy - the lead vocalist of band Scribe.
Voctronica will give top 10 finalists an opportunity to be a part of a workshop in Mumbai conducted in January 2012 by Testament - human beatboxer / MC and a member of the Lip Factory (Shlomo's UK vocal project).
The new ensemble trained by Shlomo will perform as the country's first beatboxing troupe across India and UK in the first half of 2012.
Shlomo says, I'm so excited to be working with the British Council and Zomba on Voctronica - I believe that the human voice has the unique power to bring people together and ever since I toured India in 2010 I've wanted to create something new using the wealth of vocal talent that India has to offer. It will sound like nothing you have ever heard before!...
