MUMBAI: As a treat for music lovers in UK, internationally acclaimed singer Shankar Mahadevan will perform a concert at Alchemy festival along with sitarist Purbayan Chatterjee.
Commencing from 12 April, the fest will explore the diverse culture and encompass contemporary and traditional music, dance, debate, literature, film, craft and fashion of UK, India and South Asian countries.
Speaking on the collaboration Chatterjee said, “Music lovers generally long for such mélange of unique and eclectic music. It’s an aesthetic connect between us that brings us together time and again."
Mahadevan said, "I am feeling very happy to be part of the festival. I remember the time when we played in New Jersey for the first time. The performance will be filled with lot of western elements and I am looking for the occasion."
