Shahrukh Khan unveils music of 'Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi'

MUMBAI: Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan launched the music album of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming home production ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ in Mumbai yesterday.

The album released under T-Series features six romantic and peppy dance numbers rendered by KK, Shreya Ghoshal, Neeraj Shridhar, Mohit Chauhan and Usha Uthup. Composed by Jeet Ganguly, the music has been penned by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and Faraz Ali.

The film which marks choreographer-director Farah Khan’s acting debut is directed by Bela Sehgal. It is a romantic-comedy of a 40-plus couple, played by Boman Irani and Farah Khan.

The third poster of the film which was also unveiled on the occasion depicts Khan and Irani dressed as Simran and Raj from ‘DDLJ’.

Speaking on the music launch, Shahrukh Khan said, “I have seen spoofs of all movies created by others but I never thought one would ever think of making a spoof on 'DDLJ'. I think love can happen at any age...it has no age. There is no right time and right place for love...it can happen any time.”

The launch also witnessed a jig by Farah Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Boman Irani, wherein, the Badshah played Raj of ‘DDLJ’, while Farah played Simran and Irani enacted the character of legendary Amrish Puri. Other artistes like Kavin Dave, Shammi, Kurush Deboo and Daisy Irani were also present at the occasion.

Commenting on Farah’s debut, Khan stated, "She is one of the most finest and talented director we have with us. I thank Farah for giving me some nicest moment in her films. She rocked as director and will definitely create the same impact in acting. Oh god….now there is going to be more competition "

The film also features Kavin Dave, Shammi, Kurush Deboo, Daisy Irani and is schedule to release on 24 Aug 2012.
