Saregama India VP digtal Madhusudhan Ranganathan quits

MUMBAI: Saregama India VP digtal Madhusudhan Ranganathan has put in his papers after serving the company for over two years. While the company is looking for a replacement, Saregama India business head-music Adarsh Gupta will hold his responsibilities.

Confirming the news with Radioandmusic.com, Madhusudhan says, “I resigned on Monday 18 March and will serve a notice period of three months. I have asked to be relieved as soon as possible but Saregama still has to revert.”

Speaking about his experience he says, "I had an amazing experience and Saregama was a very exciting place to work with. The company grew at such a rapid pace with such a brilliant team."

Currently, Ranganathan is technically out of his role and is in the process of the obligatory handover which is being given to Gupta, who will look into the operations till a new digital head is appointed.

Refusing to divulge much details on next venture, he says, "I had two years of hectic running in the company and now I am taking a break to relax. I do have a few options which are in various stages of negotiations and will look into them soon."

Gupta said that Saregama is in the process of re-organising the digital team as along with Ranganathan five more people from his team have quit.

Prior to this appointment, he was with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment as head distribution - mobile domestic.

With over 16 years of experience, Ranganathan has also worked at  Radio City 91.1FM, Idea Cellular, Agrani Convergence and SkyCell Communications.
