Sachin Gupta to score music for seven films

MUMBAI: After scoring music for 'Dil Kabaddi' and a couple of non-film projects, music director Sachin Gupta has several new projects tucked under his belt.

"I have seven films slated to release by 2009-2010," says the musician who is also the in-house composer for music label Tips. Apart from 'Jugaad' that released earlier this year, he has Karan Razdan's next venture, 'Bolo Ram' and a Tips project starring Vivek Oberoi. '28 Days' by Jasim Amrohi and 'A-Major' will be two films in which he will also be seen acting along with composing music. He has again teamed with the 'Dil Kabaddi' producer Shailesh Singh to compose music for his next venture.

Gupta has scored the music for a lot of Pakistani singers and bands. He has also scored music for Atif Aslam's Doorie which garnered a lot of success apart from other Pakistani artists Jal, Adeel and Ahmed Jahanzeb. "I should be the Brand Ambassador for Pakistani Artistes," he says jokingly. "On a serious note, there is enough talent in India that needs to be explored," he adds.

The composer who has composed several non-film albums is also planning to release his solo album titled "Rooh" in February 2010. "Apart from composing the music, I have also lent my vocals for the tracks," says Gupta. Sameer will pen the songs for the album.
