MUMBAI: The singing reality show of Saaibaba Telefilms titled 'Bharat ki Shaan' is back in its second season, bringing to the fore the talent from across the country.
The show is a musical war between metros and non-metros, highlighting the diverse culture of India. Ismail Darbar who mentored the contestants last season will be the judge and mentor in this season also. Darbar will represent the voice of the masses and Usha Uthup will be the face of the metropolitan Indian. Manoj Tiwari is the host of the show.
Saaibaba Telefilms Gajendra Singh said, "It has a vibrant host in Manoj Tiwari and has Usha Uthup and Ismail Darbar as both the mentors and the judges. The first season of Bharat Ki Shaan was extremely popular. But India has so much to offer in terms of unity in diversity. And we wanted to ensure that the unity in diversity of India was aptly reflected in our second season. There is no channel like DD that covers the length and breadth of our nation and hence a competition between the metros and non-metros would be something that audiences would look forward to It is a clear-cut competition between two demographies."
"We want a talented youngster with a voice that can be Bharat Ki Shaan and then train and groom him to compete with the best in the industry. That is our approach and that is our format," said the man who can easily be called the father of musical shows in the country.
A pan-India search over 20 cities has resulted in 30 contestants who will vie for the title. The show will be stretched over 52-episodes and will be aired twice in a week.
Ismail Durbar said, "Reality shows should all be Bharat Ki Shaan. They should go beyond being just reality shows. It is not about participants coming and singing and going. I want them all to be stars in the horizon.That will be the real Bharat Ki Shaan. I pray to God to make the life of each of these children."
Sumit Khatri from Rajasthan was the winner of the title in the first season held in 2010. The show was judged by Bappi Lahiri and Kavita Krishnamurthy and mentored by Jatin Pandit, Ila Arun, Ustad Rashid khan, Suresh Wadekar, Ismail Darbar, Mohit Chauhan, Shamir Tandon and Manoj Tiwary.
The show in its second season will also be aired on DD every Monday and Tuesday.The show begins on 23 April at 9.30 PM.

Bharat ki shaan-2 me pakshpaat ho raha hai, jaha per Aakash Ojha ko ek saazish ke tahat bhara ker diya gaya, Is se pehle wale week me jab Osama ko vito power ka istemal karte huwe wapas laya gaya to Aakash ko kyo nahi. Uske next episod me jab Osama ki performence sabse kamjor thi to bhi use 4 star diye gaye jabki aakash ne usse achcha sgay to uske 3 star kyo?????

Sir kal 15.10.2012 Program dekh kar acha nahi laga Because Akash is out. He is good singer or me unki bahut badi fan ban chuki hu Akash ka esa ek b program nahi hai jo mene miss kiya ho per kal mujhe bahut heart huwa......
We were shocked Aakash is out. My daughter wept so much. Aakash is only Bharat ki shan. He had been purportedly eliminated. Both judges have planned. Favour for Mamta is so visible. Very painful.
sir i like Bharat ki shaan show very much.But i was shocked with eppisode which was telecast on 15 oct 2012.Aakash oajha is very good singer.jab osama ji ko ek aur chance de sakte hai to aakash ko kyon nahi,sir please aakash ko ek aur chance de dijiye.it's a request from me.

I Watchee yesterday's episode and i was shocked on hearing about Raguveer.unlickly he is not in the show now but I REQUEST SMILE DARABAR SIR AND PADAMSHREE USHA UTHUP THAT PLEASE TAKE RAGUVEER IN THEIR NEXT ALBUMB BECAUSE HE IS THE REAL ARTIST AND REAL BHARAT KI SHAAN.GOD BLESS RAGUVEER.i am very depressed because is now not in the show.

Bharat Ki Shaan II is our only favorite programme which is aired on the biggest national channel and we are regular viewer of this distinctive programme.
The episode which was telecast on 25th sep 2012 was very unique in itself. Sir, Raghuvir Sharan did the mistake consciously/knowingly for sacrifices for his friends. Sir, it is a supreme scarifies that we seen.
We request you to add him also in the winners who will take participate in a album which will be prepared by Shri Ismail Darbar and Usha Didi. This will be a noble act.
