MUMBAI: India’s renowned rock band Agnee is making  debut in Bollywood with the release of the film ‘Aalap’ on 27 July.

The band has composed six songs for the movie which are fused with soft rock and local music of Chhatisgarh. Penned by Panchi Jalondhi, Shaili and Navaldas Manikpuri , the background score is arranged by Bapi Bhattacharya and Tutul Manikpuri.

Speaking with RadioandMusic.com, film director Manish Manikpuri said “Aalap tells a story of a four-member rock band, set out to create peace through music in Naxalism-infested Chhattisgarh. The musical film is very youth-oriented.”
