MUMBAI: The second edition of ‘RJ style-o-meter’ concluded yesterday with Fever FM RJ Ruchi from Mumbai bagging the ‘Shehar ka Sabse stylish RJ’ title.

While RJ Ruchi won the title with 314 votes in Mumbai, RJ Luckie from Oye FM won the Delhi hunt, RJ Pradeepa from Radio City won in Bangalore and RJ Vineet from Red FM won the Kolkata title.

The participants walked the ramp as they were judged on their confidence, style sense and overall personality. Each winner received a hamper worth Rs 10,000 and an iPAD.

The event received a total of 34 entries from five national radio channels including Radio City, Oye FM, Big FM, Red FM and Fever FM. A total of 40000 fans voted for their favourite RJs, Delhi received 3915 votes followed by Kolkata with 3298, Bangalore and Mumbai with 2972 & 1709 respectively.

Organised by Big Bazaar and Percept Media, the hunt commenced from 28 May with an online poll for the most stylish RJ till 8 June. One winner from each city was selected at the ‘fbb style-o-meter Grand Finale’ held at prominent malls. Celebrity judges like Yagna Shetty, Rita Mendonca, Simran Kaur Mundi, Hanif Hilal, Raj Mistry, Abir Chatterjee and Leepakshi Ellawadi amongst others judged the finals held in each city on 9-10 June.

Percept Media VP Amol Mohandas said, “We are thrilled by the response of the fans and the momentum the second edition of this hunt has garnered. Going ahead we are planning to take this hunt on a larger scale and will cover more geographical areas.”

The fans voted for the RJs on facebook by posting likes and comments. Profile shoot images were uploaded along with their ‘vote for me’ videos where fans got the chance to learn more about their interests. Contests were also held on the fan page and the respective radio channels where winners got a chance to meet the RJs and win autographed merchandise.
