Richa Sharma on the way to Hollywood

MUMBAI: After delivering melodious chartbusters in Bollywood, talented singer Richa Sharma is now set to make her entry in Hollywood. The singer has rendered a romantic single for her first international film ‘Trishna’.

Composed by Amit Trivedi, the British drama also includes vocals by sufi singer Kavita Seth. “I am honoured to be a part of an international film. It was great to work with Amit Trivedi who has a real creative approach towards his work.”

Directed by Michael Winterbottom, the film stars Frieda Pinto and Riz Ahmed.  It is based on Thomas Hardy's classic novel ‘Tess of the D'Urbervilles’. The movie was premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival on 9 September, and is slated to release on 13 July in India.

The classically trained singer has also lent vocals for an instrumental album Eternal Winds- World Fusion.  The earthy singer had earlier collaborated with renowned sitarist Purbayan for a lounge album which reflected musical odyssey of Tagore songs.
