MUMBAI: In the 56th annual National awards for films released in 2008, regional music made its presence felt by grabbing almost all the awards in the music category.
Pune based composer duo Ajay-Atul bagged the best music director award for the Rajiv Patil directed Marathi film- Jogwa. The film also got Hariharan the best male playback singer award, while the best female playback singer went to Shreya Ghoshal for the track- 'Jeev DanglaGungla Rangla' from the same film
Apart from her rendition for the Marathi film, Jogwa, Ghoshal was also honoured the Best female playback singer award for the track �Pherari Mon' in the Bengali film – Antaheen. Antaheen also bagged best lyricist award for Anindya Banerjee and Chandranil Bhattacharya.
