MUMBAI: The lone Indian entry in the radio category of the Clio Awards has failed to make it to the winners list.

Rediff Y&R's advert Vandana, for the American India Foundation, was the only Indian entry shortlisted in the Radio category (single entries) for the Clio Awards 2009.

The Clio Awards, held on 13 May, celebrated their 50th year of existence.

Grey South Africa's public service campaign Shark Attack won the Gold in the radio category, as did Network BBDO Johannesburg's Plain Insanity campaign for Virgin Atlantic Airlines.

The only entry that has managed a triumph is Contract Advertising's entry that has bagged a Gold Statue in the Poster category.

India had managed a tally of 10 shortlisted entries, with agencies like Publicis Ambience, O&M, Leo Burnett and Contract figuring in the list. Publicis Ambience leads the pack with three shortlists, whereas the others have two each. Rediffusion Y&R has managed to get in with one shortlisted entry in the radio category shortlists.
