Red FM partners GIMA Awards 2012

MUMBAI: Red FM has partnered with the Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) awards for the third consecutive year.

An initiative by Wizcraft International Entertainment, GiMA recognizes and applauds talent across various genres of Indian Music such as Bollywood, Classical, Ghazal, Devotional, Folk, Fusion, Carnatic and Contemporary.

Commenting on the partnership 93.5 Red FM senior VP -projects & programming Nisha Narayanan said, “GiMA stands for excellence and honours the best talent in the music industry and Red FM is all about playing the most contemporary super hit music. There is an unparalleled synergy between the two and we are delighted to be partnering each other for three years in a row.”

The station is giving chance to their listeners to party with the cr?me de la cr?me of the music fraternity at the GiMA nominations party on 8 August, through a contest called ‘Ghanti Sun, Party Mein Ja’.

Advisory board member of GiMA and noted poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar said, “Today, GiMA has evolved into a major platform for the Indian Music Industry and brings together the entire fraternity, to honour and celebrate musical talent across various genres. This year, there is an interesting mix of nominees and I congratulate GiMA as they embark upon yet another musical journey. Radio is a great medium to reach out to the fans and I am sure it will be a grand celebration for Red FM.”
