MUMBAI: HT Media venture Fever FM that had surged ahead of rivals in Bangalore and Mumbai, has lost the lead, according to RAM data just out for week 21.
Bangalore
Big FM leads the pack comfortably with a market share of 21 per cent, having gained 1.5 percentage points over the earlier week. Fever stands at third place with a market share of 14.9 per cent, a pace behind Mirchi with a market share of 15.6 per cent.
All India Radio's Rainbow channel stayed ahead of Radio City, Radio One and SFM, with a market share of 11.9 per cent, despite having lost 1.9 percentage points over the earlier week.
Delhi
AIR's Gold channel is a poor second with a market share of 15.9 per cent behind Radio Mirchi which leads with a share of 23.6 per cent, having gained 0.1 percentage points over week 20. AIR Gold however stayed ahead of big players Radio City, Radio One, Red FM and Big FM as well as Fever which stayed close behind AIR Gold with a market share of 15.8, having gained 0.5 percentage points.
Kolkata
Radio Mirchi led in Kolkata too with a comfortable margin, with a market share of 18.2 per cent, over Big FM which held second position with a market share of 15.2 per cent. Friends FM followed with a share of 12 per cent, despite a loss of 1.3 points, while Aamar FM came a close fourth with a share of 11.7 per cent, having gained 1.6 percentage points over week 20.
Mumbai
Red FM held on to a slender margin in Mumbai with a market share of 15.8 per cent, a gain of 0.8 percentage points over the previous week. Radio Mirchi followed a close second, with a share of 15.2 per cent , having lost 0.6 percentage points over week 20.
Big FM stood at third place with a share of 14 per cent, and AIR's Gold channel took fourth place with a share of 12.9 per cent, having gained 0.1 percentage points.
