Red FM appoints Rajat Uppal as GM - marketing

MUMBAI: Red FM has appointed Rajat Uppal as general manager - marketing.

He will report to Red FM's senior VP project and programming Nisha Narayanan. In his new role, Uppal will be responsible for strengthening the brand ‘Red’ and drive marketing initiatives for the station.

Speaking about the appointment, Uppal said, “I am excited about my new stint at Red FM as its one of the largest and strongest FM network brand in India. Red is a young and contemporary brand known for its irreverence and its ‘Bajaate Raho’ positioning has clearly strengthened its emotional connect with the listeners.”

Narayanan said, “Rajat brings a very unique blend of multi-functional marketing expertise to our business. Thus with a mindset that merges into his intensive marketing experience will be of great value to our teams and client relationships. We are delighted to have Rajat on board and look forward to his work at Red FM.”

Prior to this appointment, Uppal was at  Fever FM as deputy GM – corporate marketing.

With over 10 years of experience, Uppal was also part-of UB Group, Radico Khaitan and Reliance BIG Entertainment (Big FM).
