Raja Hasan to launch debut solo album

MUMBAI: Zee's music talent hunt Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 first runner up Raja Hasan is ready with his solo album, two years after his share of television fame.

Says Raja, The album has been composed by my father Rafiq Sagar and has seven tracks. It is ready for release early next year.... The album is ready to be launched by a Delhi based label, he says.

Rafiq Sagar, himself a ghazal singer and music director, has composed seven tracks for the album. The lyrics too have been penned by him. Music has always been in my blood. I was mainly trained by my maternal grandfather and my father, who had a major role in grooming me as a singer....

Raja is still bound by a contract with Zee and insists that talks are on with the channel to launch his album. There are meetings happening between the channel and music composers Vishal-Shekhar and if things materialise, the channel will launch my album....

Raja has also lent his voice for Bollywood numbers composed by composer duo Vishal-Shekhar for Maari Teetri' from the film De Taali and Lucky boy' from Bachna Ae Haseeno. Among his forthcoming projects is Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk to China, the score of which will be composed by Ashutosh Pathak.
