Rahman scores for short-film

MUMBAI: When it comes to A R Rahman's canvas of work - it's vast and varied. The maestro recently teamed up with filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor for a short film called 'Passage'.

Rahman has scored four tracks for this short film which opens with Tango (originally composed by Carla Pugliese), Atmosphere, Aria (sung by Kavita Baliga) and Waltz.

Directed by Kapur and produced by Curious Pictures Production and Swarovski Entertainment, Passage stars Julia Stiles (Cry Of The Owl, The Bourne Ultimatum), Lily Cole and Haley Benett (Marley and Me, Music and Lyrics). The film is about the lives of three womens and the magical tranformations that happen in their lives through the film.
This is Rahman' second project after internationally acclaimed
Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

A special screening of the film Passage was held over the weekend on the island of La Giudecca and attended by Shekhar Kapur, A R Rahman, Haley Bennett and Nadja Swarovski.

The film is produced by Swarovski Entertainment and was shot entirely in Argentina.
