MUMBAI: After composing for two highly acclaimed Hollywood movies Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, Oscar-winner AR Rahman is set to compose for DreamWorks' Ramayana inspired musical film 'Monkeys of Mumbai.'

Directed by Kevin Lima (�Enchanted' and �Tarzan') �Monkeys of Mumbai' is DreamWorks first bollywood-style animated musical film. The lyrics of the movie will be penned by Stephen Schwartz.

Kevin Lima said, Ever since Enchanted, I've been looking for a musical film and when DreamWorks Animation approached me with the prospect of doing a Bollywood musical with such renowned collaborators, I knew this was the one....

The animated musical, in which two monkeys become unlikely heroes and save the world from an ancient demon, will be written by Gurinder Chadha and Paul Berges, who collaborated on Bend It Like Beckham. The film will be produced by Lisa Stewart and Chris Chase. AR Rahman is also the executive producer of the movie.
