Raghav Sachar enlivens live concert in his eighth album

MUMBAI: Multi-instrumentalist singer Raghav Sachar has not been deterred with the sorry state of non-film music. The singer has recently released his eighth album Set the Fire' on its own label Raghav Sachar Music.

The singer has introduced a new concept in India by recording the title track video for the album during one of his live concerts. Set the Fire' comprises of nine songs, one of it being a jugalbandi of flute and drums played by Darshan Doshi and him.

Speaking on the innovative concept, Raghav Sachar said, People enjoy music more when it's performed live and we wanted to capture that feel and energy in our video. To capture the essence we used five cameras at different locations in one of my concerts. It was very candid in the sense that the audience wasn't aware that the performance was being shot for the video. This concept hasn't been explored before in India and hence, there was an international feel to it....

The album will be promoted by Saregama while the digital rights will be owned by the Raghav's label launched in 2009.

Raghav added, Set the Fire is unique than the previously released albums. The song and music of the album isn't been doctored by any high- tech instruments like auto-tuning, it's a pure live music....
